Undergraduate Research at Salem
At Kent Salem, research may be done in the context of a course, as independent study, and/or in collaboration with a faculty member. It gives students opportunities to:
  • Enrich their classroom experiences
  • Broaden their intellectual perspectives
  • Acquire skills for life beyond college

This page provides information about opportunities for research and recognizes the research done by students at the Salem Campus.

Prizes were awarded to undergraduates at any level and in any discipline for research in any for-credit course at the Salem Campus presented at the Undergraduate Research Conference on April 23rd.  See the conference schedule for a full listing of participants. 

Projects were evaluated by a panel of faculty judges based on:

  • Originality
  • Significance

  • Evidence of learning about the research and information-gathering processes

  • Overall quality of presentation/poster
