Writing Center Guidelines
Drop-in students are welcome; however, students with appointments take priority.

Students are to leave the Writing Center immediately after the appointment. The Writing Center is not a place for visiting or socializing.

Students are expected to take notes during Writing Center sessions.

Students can signup for a maximum of one session day and two sessions per week at the Writing Center.

The Writing Center does not provide babysitting services. Do Not bring children to the Writing Center; if you will have children with you, cancel the appointment and reschedule.

The Writing Center is Not a place for testing or quiet study. Writing Assistants do not supervise students taking exams.

Help with take home exams will Not be provided.

Students should Not expect Writing Assistant to be able to fully discuss a paper due the same or following day.

If you miss three scheduled appointments, you will no longer be able to schedule sessions at the Writing Center.

If you are 5 minutes late to a session, your appointment will be given to a walk-in client.

If you do not come prepared with the assignment, a draft, and a plan for the session, you will be asked to reschedule.
