Tobacco-free Town Hall meetings coming to Kent Trumbull
Posted Feb. 20, 2013
A series of town hall meetings are scheduled this spring at the Kent and Regional campuses, to gather additional input from the university community on becoming a tobacco-free institution.
Last fall, a university-wide committee was convened at the request of President Lester A. Lefton to study a proposal that would make all Kent State University campuses tobacco-free. That was in response to the recommendation from the Ohio Board of Regents that all public college and university campuses in Ohio become tobacco-free. The committee conducted a survey last semester.
Two town hall meetings will occur at Kent State Trumbull on Monday, March 4, 2013. The first meeting will take place from 11 a.m.-Noon, with the second happening from 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. in Room 202 of the Classroom/Administration Building.
Both sessions are open to ALL staff, faculty and students.
