The induction ceremony for new members of the Kent State University Chapter of the Alpha Lambda Delta national honor society for freshman students will be held on October 11, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in Ritchie Hall.
Alpha Lambda Delta is a nationally-recognized honor society for students who have succeeded in maintaining a 3.5 or higher GPA and are in the top 20% of their class in their first year of undergraduate study.
For membership consideration, students must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a baccalaureate degree at an accredited institution with an active Alpha Lambda Delta chapter on campus.
Students who accept their invitation to join Alpha Lambda Delta receive a lifetime membership. Membership benefits include the ability to apply for more than $180,000 in scholarships and fellowships to support undergraduate study, graduate study, or study abroad opportunities.
