KSU Faculty Member Supports Leadership of Columbiana CountyPosted Mar. 14, 2011
Kent State Columbiana County Campuses value involvement throughout our community. An example of this is Assistant Professor Shawn Golden's participation with the Leadership of Columbiana County (LCC), a nonprofit organization that provides both classroom and hands-on experience to help in developing leaders within our communities. One of the most important Kent State and LCC shared values is community service. "I'm excited to participate in an activity like LCC's Spaghetti Dinner that will benefit so many needy county residents," said Golden.
The Leadership of Columbiana County Spaghetti Dinner is scheduled for Sunday, March 27. The dinner will be held from 12:00-3:30 at the Columbiana County Career & Technical Center, located at 9364 State Route 45, Lisbon, Ohio 44432. An all-you-can-eat menu is sure to satisfy even the biggest of appetites. The menu includes spaghetti and meatballs, fettuccini alfredo, salad, garlic bread, a beverage of your choice and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Students of the CCCTC Culinary Careers program will prepare the food. In addition to the fine Italian cuisine, guests can participate in a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle.
Tickets for the event can be purchased at the reception areas at both the Kent State East Liverpool and Salem campuses, or by contacting Shawn Golden via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 330.382.7452. Tickets are just $7 for adults and $5 for children. Carry out orders are available. Proceeds will benefit the Community Action Agency and the Way Station.
