Kent State East Liverpool Holds Video Contest - Editing Workshop

Kent State University at East Liverpool is announcing its first annual video contest, which will run between Oct. 21 and Nov. 11. An optional video editing workshop for those looking to increase or build their skills will be held on Oct. 21 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Kent State East Liverpool in room 316 of the Mary Patterson Building. Please reserve a space by emailing Shawn Golden at dgolden@kent.edu. On Friday Oct. 22, the video’s topic will be posted to http://www.col.kent.edu/news/videocompetition.cfm. Individuals and teams of up to four members are encouraged to create and edit their own videos.
Participants are permitted to use the software and equipment of their choice. The film must be between three and five minutes in length, videos under or over the time limit will be disqualified. All videos must contain content that is suitable for the given topic. Judges have the right to deem material inappropriate and disqualify a video.
The video contest is open to both the general public as well as high school and college students. Judging categories will be based on the participants and number of submitted videos. Submit your piece of work on or before Nov. 11 in DVD format to:
