Dr. Johnson explains, "This was quite a selection process with each university only allowed to nominate two graduates to be considered. Each country was able to sponsor a certain number, then the scientific review panel of the Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting chose the final 600 participates from around the world."
