Kent State at Salem Donates to Local PantryPosted Nov. 27, 2012
Salem, Ohio — The Student Government Organization from Kent State University at Salem presented nearly 200 pounds of food and personal hygiene items to the Salem Community Pantry that were collected from students, faculty and staff at the local campus.
Mike Bentfield, SGO president, explained that this was the second year students and staff from the Salem campus donated to the local pantry. “We’d like to see this project grow and be able to give more,’ he said. “Every bit helps and it is an easy way to help others.”
Cliff Votaw, director of the Salem Community Pantry, accepted the donations and offered his thanks to the college.
