National Campus Safety Awareness Month RecognizedPosted Sep. 18, 2013
In recognition of National Campus Safety Awareness Month, the students, faculty and staff of Kent State University at Stark treated the Jackson Township police officers and firefighters, along with the campus’s security staff, to boxed lunches on Monday, Sept. 16.
Dean Walter Wagor and Assistant Dean Bathi Kasturiarachi, among other members of the campus, passed out 70 lunches from the flagpole area, located at the front of Kent State Stark, as police cruisers and emergency vehicles drove through. The safety personnel were met with words of gratitude and appreciative handshakes for the superior protection and service that they provide to the Kent State Stark community.
Each September, Kent State Stark continues this tradition of showing their appreciation for the vigilant people who ensure the safety of more than 11,000 students, as well as nearly 500 employees, on the 200-acre Jackson Township campus.
