Kent State Salem, LCC Host Business Breakfast April 20

Kent State University at Salem, in partnership with Leadership Columbiana County, is presenting “A Legislative Update for Your Business,” April 20 at 7:30 a.m. at the Kent State City Center. Reservations may be made by calling 330-337-3473 prior to April 15. The cost is $6 at the door by cash or check.
The breakfast presentation will be given by Linda Woggon, executive vice president of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. Woggon’s fast-paced presentation will help area business leaders understand the new political climate in Columbus. In her presentation, Woggon will paint a clear picture of the politics surrounding Ohio’s public policy process and the issues at the top of the agenda for Ohio lawmakers.
In her position as Executive Vice President of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, Woggon leads the Chamber's public policy, grassroots and political education efforts, and lobbies on legal, regulatory and technology issues, as well as campaign finance, elections and ethics policy.
Linda also serves as Vice President of the Partnership for Ohio’s Future, the Ohio Chamber’s issue advocacy organization. The Partnership plays a major role in educating the public about the importance of the state judiciary and the effect of judicial decisions on the lives of Ohioans and the state's economic climate.
Prior to joining the Ohio Chamber, she practiced environmental law with a large Toledo law firm and served as Government Affairs Director with the Toledo Area Chamber of Commerce.
Linda is a member of the Ohio Bar Association and is a past-president of the Ohio Lobbying Association. She holds a bachelor's degree in political science and a juris doctor degree from the University of Toledo.
