You will use the most popular business software applications, ranging from word processing and spreadsheets to desktop publishing and visual presentations. In addition, you will learn the fundamentals of accounting, automated records management and filing, business communications and resource management. In a capstone seminar or internship course, you will learn about the array of office occupations and how to launch an effective job search.
Depending on your occupational goals, you can focus on desktop publishing, legal office or medical office studies. With your Associate of Applied Business degree in ITAP from Kent State, you will have a competitive edge for finding success in today's business environment.
The associate's degree is granted after the successful completion of 61 credit hours. By concentrating the majority of your studies in technology and related coursework, you are prepared in a short time to enter the work world. The majority (if not all) of the credits earned in the associate's degree in ITAP can be applied toward the Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies (BTAS) or toward additional specialty certificates.
