BSN Lab
The Clinical Performance and Simulation Lab at Kent State University at Salem
The Clinical Performance and Simulation Lab at Kent State University at Salem provides nursing students with a safe and supportive environment for students to learn and master nursing skills. The Clinical Performance and Simulation Lab has a wealth of resources and equipment to enhance both student learning and student teaching projects. Equipment includes items such as: simulation manikins, site-specific models and I.V. set-ups. The students are able to practice safe medication administration and practice various skills needed to function in the ever changing world of health care. The simulation lab allows students to work on communication skills, as well as talk through ethical situations that may arise in practice. The lab accommodates students by providing unscheduled time for skills practice, physical assessment practice and patient-specific preparation. Scheduled time is available for clinical groups and simulations.
